Come explore the Truth, Beauty, and Goodness of the Catholic Tradition during our Parish Mission. The team from the John Paul II Renewal Center will lead us through God’s plan for Love in your life. Yes! GOD HAS A PLAN FOR YOU! Join with other students and parishioners at the Newman Center for 3 nights of fun, faith, and fellowship. This FREE event is open to everyone, so bring some friends and come explore God’s plan for life.

Do you need some inner-peace? The rosary is a powerful tool to find inner-peace in today’s noisy, busy world. Prayer is powerful! In the rosary we ponder the life of Jesus through the eyes of his mother.
Wednesday, February 14th at 8 pm – Spirit & Life
Join us every Wednesday Night as we worship the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament through prayer, song and sacred silence. Followed by 9 pm Mass and pizza & fellowship after. All are welcome.

All college students are invited to Northern Illinois Koinonia!!! Koinonia is a student led retreat experience found on many college campuses around the country. It provides a great opportunity to grow into a deeper relationship with Christ and the church. Students give talks and lead the discussions. There is also a great spirit of celebration and fun on the weekends as we experience community in Christ. Though the retreat is offered from a Catholic perspective, those from other denominations are welcome to attend. The cost is only $40. Are you interested in learning more about the needs of the poor in our community? The St. Mary/Christ the Teacher Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) conducts weekly home visits to those individuals in DeKalb and surrounding communities who are in dire need of assistance. If you are interested in more information about SVDP’s Home Visit program and you would like to find out how you, as a student, can participate in a home visit, please consider attending. Join a Lenten Small Group Bible Study!
Led by The Roman Huskies Mission Team and student leaders, small groups meet around campus on a weekly basis and provide a wonderful opportunity to grow in community and learn about scripture & the Catholic faith. Do you know where you’re living next year? Newman has several apartments for students interested in living as a Catholic community sharing weekly prayer and meals together. Students are also involved at Newman with spiritual, service and social activities. The three bedroom apartments are at 615 Lucinda. Rent is $265 per person plus utilities.
