During NIU Finals week we will have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament available Monday, Dec 11, Tuesday, Dec 12 & Wednesday, Dec 13 following Noon Mass from approximately 12:30 pm until 8:30 pm in the Church.  Sign-up sheets are available on the table in the lobby.  Adorers are able to sign up for ½ hour increments. Thank you for your generosity of time and please keep our students in your prayers. What is Eucharistic Adoration? It is the adoration of Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist. The Eucharist is displayed in a special holder called a monstrance, and people come to pray and worship Jesus continually throughout the day. Christ’s great love for us was shown when he was crucified on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and give us eternal life. He loves us without limit, and offers Himself to us in the Holy sacrament of the Eucharist. Can we not give Jesus 30 minutes of love and adoration in return?

Our tree is up and decorated with an assortment of gift tags!!  Please help make someone’s holiday a little brighter – take a tag, purchase the gift listed and return it UNWRAPPED to the Newman Center by the date written on the tag.  Thank you in advance for your generous spirit of giving during this joyous season!  If you need additional information, please e-mail Denise at newmanminister@gmail.com call at (815)787-7770 ext 30.
