Newman Formal – Tickets on sale now!
Saturday, April 13th, 6-11pm at Faranda’s – 302 Grove St, Downtown DeKalb
All college students looking for an excuse to GET DRESSED UP & DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY are invited to the Newman Formal! Please bring your friends. A date is NOT required. This is a ticketed event.   Ticket price includes dinner and dancing. Tickets are only $25.00 per person.  The last day to purchase is March 23.

Newman Scholarships!! Applications Due Wednesday! Thanks to generous benefactors, Newman has a variety of scholarships available!  Information packets are available now in the main office.  Applications & Letters of Reference are due by Wednesday, March 20, 2019.

Hope Haven Meal Making – 
Looking for something fun to do?  Like to help those in need?  Join other college students as we make a meal for Hope Haven Homeless Shelter! All college students are invited to join us in the Newman Kitchen on Thursday, March 21st beginning at 4:30pm.  The basic schedule is as follows:
4:30pm- Meet in Newman Kitchen to prepare/cook meal
6:30- Transport meal (by carpool) to Hope Haven
6:45- 8:00- Serve the meal, possibly eat with residents and help clean up
Come for all or part.  No experience is necessary. Just come with a willing heart and a servant’s spirit!

Spirit & Life – All are invited to Spirit & Life at 8pm Wednesday, March 20 at 8pm in Church.  We will have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Scripture readings, praise & worship music and quiet prayer and reflection.  Confession is available at 8:30pm After, the evening continues with 9pm Mass followed by pizza and fellowship in the library coffee house.  Join us & bring a friend! 

Blood Drive! Blood Drive – Ever wonder what it feels like to save a life?  Become a blood donor and find out! Newman’s Spring Blood Drive will be Thursday, March 28th from 3:00-7:00pm downstairs in the Knox Community Room. Please sign-up in the Lobby as soon as possible!  To prepare for your donation, eat well, stay hydrated and bring a photo ID.  Give the gift of life! Give blood!

Newman Study & Snack!
 Need a place to study over the next few weeks? Looking for a new group of friends to study with? Come join us at Newman Catholic every Thursday for our study group and enjoy some snacks as well. We will be meeting the following Thursdays – March 21st, and March 28th from 8-10pm downstairs in the Knox Community Room! Finish up all your homework and study for exams in a great studying atmosphere where you can meet new friends at Newman! We look forward to studying and snacking with you!

Newman Households Do you know where you’re living next year?  Newman has several apartments for students interested in living as a Catholic community sharing weekly prayer and meals together. Students are also involved at Newman with spiritual, service and social activities. The three bedroom apartments are at 615 Lucinda.  Rent is $265 per person plus utilities.

Rosary 
Do you need some inner-peace? The rosary is a powerful tool to find inner-peace in today’s noisy, busy world. Prayer is powerful!  In the rosary we ponder the life of Jesus through the eyes of his mother.  All are invited to pray the Rosary every Tuesday during the semester at 8:30pm in the Chapel.
