"God is spirit, and those who worship
Him must worship in spirit and truth." - John 4:24 |
Liturgical Seasons
+Ordinary Time+
Ordinary Time begins after Pentecost and spans the long summer and fall months and concludes with the Solemnity of Christ the King and the beginning of Advent. “Ordinary” time is anything but, as we celebrate the wonders God has done and the hope of salvation.
LITURGICAL HIGHLIGHTS
· Gospel readings: The Gospel readings are drawn from the book of Mark, which we will follow in order throughout Ordinary Time.
· Seasonal Color: Green. The color green symbolizes life and growth, as well as reminding us of the mission of the church. Its use is especially important during this time as we continue to grow in community and fellowship before the more introspective season of Lent.
